This course consists of seven units which review interpreting topics such as linguistics; ethics; principles, standards, methods, models, and theories of interpreting; the history of the profession; business practices; Deaf culture and history; and legislation. The work consists of reading, viewing videos, contemplating questions, and taking practice tests. The course was designed by Xenia Fretter, M.A., an interpreter with 25 years of experience. It is updated regularly to reflect changes in the topics. To enroll is $95 and you are given 60 days to complete the course. A letter of completion is issued when you have passed all of the practice tests.
